Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
His legacy
Weekend After Labor Day 2007
This weekend last year I went to our annual Greek festival with my friend Amy and daughter Emma. We went straight for the food then to the tent to eat. I was no longer feeling nauseas and couldn’t wait to eat. Emma was still small enough to be in a stroller, so we were able to quickly get into 2 chairs and pull Emma up next to the table. I saw a former coworker with his wife and 2 kids. I thought about chatting with them and sharing my pregnancy and introducing Emma, but didn’t. I was too busy eating. Amy and I ate gyros. I probably shouldn’t have…I think they have feta or some soft cheese. I was much more lenient with what I ate while pregnant with Noah than I was with Emma. I feel bad for that now. We watched some little girls perform some dance…I think it was actually Irish. Emma enjoyed watching them but was ready to be out of her stroller. We went to the kids’ area so she could get out and play. She loved the bounce house. She was having a good time while I was wilting. It was soooooo hot. I was sweating and feeling increasingly sick as the time went on. I was hot, tired, thirsty and nauseas. We decided to leave after probably less than an hour because I felt so bad. We got to the car and I rolled over my pants and pulled up my top so that the air could flow on my belly. We drove to Amy’s house and I had a big glass of icey water. I remember resting the glass of ice cold water on my belly. Eventually I cooled off and the water re-hydrated me. This memory is so bittersweet. Noah was alive then.

Donation in Noah's Memory to First Candle

My wonderful parents have made another donation in Noah's memory. They have made a donation to the First Candle organization - Working to Stop SIDS abd Stillbirth (www.firstcandle.org).

Thank you Mom and Dad for honoring Noah!

Love for shrimp

This is kind of a silly thing, but true.  Noah loved shrimp.  When I was pregnant with Noah, well, after the 1st trimester when my tummy was feeling better, I wanted shrimp.  I wanted it like all of the time.  Still now I love shrimp.  When I'm eating shrimp now, it makes me smile to think of Noah and his love for shrimp.

Noah also loved sausage burritos and a Coke for breakfast from McDonald's.

Noah did not love meat.  His sister, Emma, loved meat - beef.  I never ate so much meat in my life as I did while pregnant with Emma.  Normally, I don't eat much meat.  I think had Noah not died, I would have been dining on shrimp and sausage burritos for the rest of my pregnancy.

Donation in Noah's Memory

My wonderful parents have made a wonderful donation in Noah's memory. They have given (through the Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church) a little boy school lunches for one year in Sudan.

Thank you Mom and Dad for honoring Noah!

Love, Jen, Chris and Emma.

The Gift of Compassion
When we lose a loved one, we are supposed to find some gift that has been left for us.  We are supposed to see some growth in our spirit from the life that we now mourn.  I have not been able to grasp this until recently.  I am just beginning to see that Noah has left me a gift.  He is teaching me to become a more compassionate person.  I am learning to be more patient with others.  I am learning that other people may be going through horrible tragedies just as I am.  I am learning to care a little bit more about others and a little bit less about myself.  I hope that this compassion will grow with Noah's spirit guiding me.

Thank you Noah!
